My wife was rear-ended while driving the dog to the vet. The car was totaled. It was worth more totaled than if I had sold it. I went to the lot in which it sat and pulled the license plates. Then, we bought a new mazda.
My friend's first car was a Datsun 240z. He sold it at some point. Years later, his girlfriend at the time found his car (the actual car, not just the model), bought it, and gave it to him for his birthday.
