Are people coming up with these theories because they would like to sue the companies that make vaccines? Or the non-profits that are supposedly spreading HIV with contaminated needles? Not understanding the motivation here. In any case, yes, people need to be careful with contamination. Could be that all of these contributed to the rise of HIV. Who knows. You can't screen for a disease you don't know about. You can't audit a system that was set up before the issue took hold. In any case, scientists need to be careful, now. Now that we know what spreads contamination, we need to prevent it from happening. Yep, we're imperfect. Yep, someone's negligence probably hurt/killed a lot of people. No way to trace it = oh well, improve the system, do better in the future.
