PS3 is finally worth a purchase. If you had to choose between 360 and PS3, I'd still go 360, but both are now worth owning if you have the money. The games are starting to fall in for both consoles and PS3's price has dropped significantly (not to mention the free BluRay movies and games, etc.)
The PS3 is awesome because of random things it offers that some don't realize (i.e. me) - for example: I bought an HDTV recently, and DVDs looked like crap. I started to worry, until Lasereth reminded me one of the latest updates to PS3 allows it to upscale DVDs to 1080p - I enabled it, and boom, I am back in business. I was about to go out and buy a damn 1080p upscaling DVD player........
So now you are getting a Bluray player, an upscaling DVD player, and a badass gaming console that finally has great games, all for a reasonable price tag. go for it!
