The PS3 has more good games than the Wii. The lack of games argument was never valid and is most certainly wrong now. Look at
www.metacritic.com . The PS3 has way more games "in the green" than the Wii. The Wii has some hard-hitters but most of its top tier games are remakes or weird japanese games that no one plays here.
Resistance: Fall of Man is worth buying the system for. I played it all the way through and it's better than Halo 3.
Ratchet and Clank has really high reviews. Uncharted: Drake's Fortune also has great reviews. Motorstorm is fun and Warhawk is on up there as well.
The PS3 did pretty good its first year considering the 360 and Wii's launch. It never truly had a system-seller for the masses like Gears of War or Super Mario Galaxy but it had some close calls.
I would buy one if I had the money, especially since they're $400 now and I have a 1080i HDTV to play it on. The only reason people didn't flock to it like the Wii is the price.
