Anyone out there own a ps3? I see lots of people have a xbox360 but no mention of the ps3.

Me, I don't own one but I really want one. I want one I would say 70% as a blu ray player and 30% as a gaming system. Yea I know that right now there isn't a huge selection of games out for it but 2 is fine for me for now. I want it mostly to put good use of my 5.1 polk audio system and my 50inch sony hdtv that I run regular dvd's on.

Up until 1/31/08 if you buy almost any blu ray player (including the ps3) you get 5 free blue ray dvd's, its not a huge selection but there are some good ones. I hear there are some current problems with the ps3 but they are going to be addressed in the next release in Q1 08, also the rumble shock controller comes out. Also the ps3 currently upconverts dvds as well so that is a bonus, and it comes with hdmi 1.3.

Right now I can get it from dell.ca for $500, it comes with a game, 2 controllers and an hdmi cable with free shipping. Plus those 5 free blu ray movies. Makes for one sweet ass deal if you ask me.

So anyone out there own one or know some insider scoop that I don't? any opinions on the machine at all?
