There's a couple problems with all of these statements about Sabathia.
1) He was better in the second-half then the first half, by 3/4 of a run in ERA. He also threw almost 26 fewer innings.
2) He had his second-best month in September while throwing his third-fewest innings. And historically, his career ERA in September is 2.88, 2/3 of a run lower then any other month.
Considering he has only appeared in one previous playoff series before this year, couldn't he just have had a bad two weeks?
