people misuse terms...and what?...how is that relevant to us?
slang terms have no concrete meaning...so are you worried about people misusing slang terms, or misusing medical terms, what?
and I'm sure there has been a time where a component you use regularly has failed, and in your attempt to describe the problem, you did not use the correct terminology. (automobile, bicycle, electronic device...ever heard someone refer to a computer as a CPU?)
