Met first wife on the job, she was a customer.
Ditto with second wife...we worked at the same place.
Met immediately prior SO on an internet dating site. Resulting in a mutually enjoyable, four year relationship, living together the final two years. It was a wonder to both of us that we met without knowing a soul in common, and she was Manhattan born and in residence, and I lived in a 'burb. On our fourth date, we discovered that both our deceased mothers shared the same birthday, and at the time, it seemed less than a random coincidence, as it does now.
Met third, present wife when she was a co-worker at the place where I met first wife.
Present wife and I dated and ended up living together during the summer before I started dating first wife.
Present wife and I split after that summer, and she returned two years later, just weeks before first wife and I planned to wed.
After a tearful good bye, in 1974, present wife and I had no contact for 27 years. I came across her listing on classmates.com and paid to join that site for the privilege of sending her an email via a blind address. Although I had maintained "a thing" for her, throughout our long separation, I still deliberated for seven months before I sent that initial email to her.
While I deliberated, "met on the net" SO of four years was pressing for marriage, but I had taken a bite of the apple, and reluctantly accepted that I had to send that email, or always wonder about what would have happened if I had sent it.....
Third "wife to be" remembered me and immediately and enthusiastically replied to my initial message; we've been reunited for six years, as of this month.
I've married exactly every 14 years. I'm hoping the cycle is now broken.
