The TFP Mileage with your feet challenge.....
OK, so we've got situps and pushups. I'm gonna start one about mileage, because I'm sure that some of us actually put miles on our feet rather than our arms or abs.
At one time, a looooong time ago, I used to go 1.5 to 3 miles at a stretch. With a 50 pound pack on my back. With a 750' change in elevation. That was the most rockin' shape I had been in.
So now, I want to recreate that, but alas, I don't have a 750' climb any longer.
All I can do is either add more weight or add more mileage. So to start, I'm going 3 miles with 20 lbs on my back. Once my calves and ankles start unwussifying themselves, I'll add on more weight.
So, just for the sake of longevity, let's make the challenge a cool million....
And to kick it off, I've done 15 miles since I started my hiking.
So, 15 miles.
