Interesting write-up about Nyquil. I take it if I'm sick and I do fall asleep, but I wake with a start after 4 hours.
The part about alcohol not working, though...when I'm sick, I put a half shot of whiskey in my tea and drink it while bundled up in sweats and blankets; the combo of the booze and being snuggled in makes me heat up and get sleepy and that makes me feel better the next day.
Unisom doesn't work for me. Tylenol PM does, but I feel draggy the next morning. Now if I know I won't sleep well, I take a Benadryl.
Not sure if this is at all related to sleeping well or poorly, but...I have been trying to lose a few pounds, so I won't eat now after 9:30 (I'm in bed about midnight) and lately, I've been sleeping pretty damn good.
