man, i go away for one measely week, and look at all the fun that shoots up. a rambling new guy/girl, a conversation about 'what's wrong with the tfp' and a harkening back to the good old days? jinkies velma!
as far as i can see, mixed hit it pretty squarely. you don't just get to be an asshole - you have to earn that position. otherwise, people will naturally just say 'god, what an asshole!' without seeing all those redeeming qualities that make people smile when the lights aren't on.
