Name one person on this whole forum who isn't a know it all, myself included. I dare you.
I read the OP twice (one and then again with the context of the parable), and I have to say I find the direction to be somewhat difficult to sense. I think I understood the previous thread, in dealing with the misuse of the term rational by irrational people and how the term and even the idea is losing or has possibly even lost it's meaning (though the sperm thing was still out of left field).
This thread started as a tirade, but the parable threw me quite a bit. By my guess it's about something a lot of people go through: the realization of the natures of being human. Some of those basic human behaviors and perceptions could be positive, and yes some are very destructive. One such example is molestation (father being sexual with daughters), and another being sheep to media and ignorant elements of society (being homophobic).
I hope you realize that destructive behavior of that depraved magnitude is exceedingly rare. Not as rare as we want it to be, fo course, but rare none the less. If you're coming from a place of generalities, then maybe taking this in stages, statistics and psychology followed by what can be done. It's action, after all that, can prevent that which clearly sickens you. If, however, this is coming from a more personal place, perhaps of personal experience, an online forum may not be the right venue.
