I meant to take pictures of my commute in Reykjavík for a while, but only finally did so last week. And it's a good thing I did, since by now my morning commute is all in the dark (damn you, high latitude!).
A few words about my commute. I usually walk about 10 minutes from my house to a bus stop, where I take a 10 minute ride to work. The walk is shortest if I follow one of the main East-West arteries of the city, but I don't like doing so because it's loud and smells of car exhaust fumes. So I walk more or less in parallel to that street, taking me through courtyards, alleys and a cemetery.
On that day it had just snowed the night before. Which made for interesting pictures, although it dulled a bit the green beauty of the cemetery.
Here are the pictures.
