I personally have a preference for toys that plug into the wall...ala the magic wand or another variety of "back" massager. battery-operated devices just tend to go through them too quickly, espec. if you're planning on using it a lot.
i'd say if you're going to use a toy for mostly solo work, look at the magic wand or the wahl's. if you're looking for a toy for both, look at the magic wand or a battery-operated vibe. a battery-operated vibe is better, imo, for use in loveplay, simply because the cord of a plug-in model gets in the way.
secondly, do you get off better from having your clit or your g-spot stimulated? If you like having your g-spot stimulated, I would recommend looking into a toy for that, typically a model with a curved tip.
