Bullshit.
It gives credence that women look for different things in males than males do in females.
I very rarely see a ugly rich man with an ugly woman, I doubt its because she was 'less shallow'.
Women are no different than men in this kind of thing.
Hell I really really love my wife. Shes everything to me. Yet I still want her to be attractive to me, and if she were to let herself go, I'd be very upset and if it was bad enough and she didn't care, it would be a great strain on our relationship.
Shes also a stay at home mom, watching the kids that sort of thing. If I said 'honey why don't you go back to work and I'll be the stay at home dad' I'm sure that would upset her greatly. Maybe it wouldn't lead to a divorce, maybe it would, but it would strain our relationship.
Are we shallow? I don't think so. We were attracted to each other for multiple reasons in order to live our lives happily together. For me looks were high on that list, her her it was my confidence, (it wasn't money I didn't have any) and how I made her feel.
The article was mean spirited. What it didn't mention was normally guys who act/do this are NOT very attractive themselves. Its a way they justify their own lousy sex lives. Its like Quazimoto talking about how he banged the ugly chick. Sure 'preying' on someone with low self esteem is easier, but its a case of the pot calling the kettle black.
