I've never been a fan of jewelry or flashy clothing, so when I buy a watch my considerations are simplicity (no winding), durability, and reasonable accuracy. It's nice if it has a timer/alarm function. I usually get a cheap timex or casio, but since my last watch broke I've been using my cell phone.
