Calories are one thing, but having the vitamins and minerals to do such things as access energy, maintain immunity, heal, etc. is probably more important. A multivitamin is good as an insurance policy, but aren't quite the same as the real deal. Vegetables should be as fetishized as cell phones if we are to move forward as a healthful and happy people.
