Given in my enlightened country of residence we have a first past the post system, and this place is considered a "safe seat" for the party who currently hold the seat (the most recent leader of the party is my local MP, in fact), my vote is essentially worthless anyway. Anyone paying my above fee would be ripped off but, as they say, its morally wrong to allow a sucker to keep his money.
Naturally, this would be a one off situation, subject to change as I see fit. Should party politics take a drastic turn, I'd like to retain the decision, should I want to, to be able to cast my vote myself. I like being able to change my mind.
