Its called someone doing something they regret.
If you drug someone and take advantage of them when they are completely our of it - obviously its rape.
If someone (male or female) goes out, gets themself drunk, consents to sex and then later regrets it - that's them making a mistake.
It is amazing to me that anyone could consider such an act to be rape. I would regard it as pretty insulting and insensitive to the victims of genuine rape (ie - when someone sexually violates a person without their permission) to have their situation likened to some guy who goes out and gets pissed and sleeps with a girl that when he wakes up in the morning he wishes he hadnt.
Say tonight - I go out and get mashed up, have no clue what Im doing. I go home with some girl and she says she wants to have sex, and I consent even though my judgement is completely impaired and I am not acting as I would if I was sober. I wake up and find her unattractive, and realise that I have also betrayed my girlfriend. Do you GENUINELY suggest I can claim I am a rape victim?
I'm sorry, but imo that is utterly absurd and deeply insensitive.... and actually quite offensive.
Where does the logic end? If both man and woman are equally drunk, are they both rapists and rape victims at the same time?
