O man, I love balut. It is also a delicacy in Vietnam, although it is commonly eaten. I used to have it every morning when I was vacationing in Vietnam. Somehow, it's never affected me much, although I'm quite aware of what it is. It's also sold here in the states in most asian supermarkets, and sold cooked in some special places (for me it's the flea market). It tastes like a regular egg with juices (embryonic ) being absolutely flavorful.
