i leave my kitty's food out, the dry stuff anyway, but i've learned to keep it up off the floor on a cookie-cooling rack. hooray for ants. and i only give him wet food at night. one little can. otherwise he gets piggy. the water bottle thing used to work but sometimes he decides that it is fun. like at 7 am on a sunday. and i have to chase him down the stairs. makes me not happy. enjoy your new kitty!
