First thing that popped into my head was "wow if that's a kitten you must have REALLY small feet"
As for automatic feeders - well the closest thing we have to that is a simple ice cream bucket filled with dry food for them, we fill it up when the two gutzes empty it.
Training wise a water pistol is great - if you want her to learn fast add a tiny bit of white wine vinegar into the water - the smell and the taste makes the lesson stick but that might be a bit cruel for you (I always feel vaguely guilty after myself)
