A while in time I know will last
A heart I love forever cannot end
A moment's gone and now it's past
A beautiful soul is my new friend
Once I thought I knew the answer
Once I found a blessed soul
Once I sang out to the dancer
Once the night was black as coal
An angel brought me wisdom truly
An eternity lasted a short while
An eagle soaring flying freely
An empty glass spilled on the tile
I looked to find the broken glass
I slipped upon the ragged edge
I found a person with such class
I peered over the shallow ledge
Seeing is'nt always beliving
Seeing is what we all belive in
Seeing is a way of living
Seeing you can't always win
We speak and try to work things out
We Zip our lips and close up tight
We wander lost and cry and pout
We scream and hate and lose our fight
But when the long day is a ending
But when we think it's over still
But knowing you my hearts a mending
But hoping friends remain I will
As I am trying to make sense
As I look for an answer to this
As I look over this high fence
