Dude, if you're quite sure you can walk out of this alright if things fuck up, then I say go for it and give it a chance.
You know this situation better than any ones else does. As someone on the outside, I would say you're making an awful mistake. I did something similar a few years back, and all I can say is moving in with someone you think you're over is not a mistake I'll ever be making again.
But if you think you can make this work then more power to you and the best of luck dude.
