Protein and complex carbohydrates (whole grains, brown rice, steel-cut oats) will stay with you longer and lots of fluid (sometimes we mistake dehydration for hunger).
I usually try to eat more cleanly - no processed food, no dairy, no refined sugar - cuz the junky stuff just makes me feel crappier when I'm ill. If you swear by chix soup, do it from scratch - it's fast and good.

EDIT... sometimes you need to eat a bit of fat to get that full and satisfied feeling... maybe oatmeal with a side of bacon? mmmm bacon. I also feel fuller from oatmeal if I whack in some peanut butter. Must be the fat!
