when I smoked (quit 10 yrs ago) I smoked 'regular' cigs unless I got sick with a cold / sore throat. Then I would switch to menthols because it was easier on the throat! When I was a kid we were told that menthols had fiberglass in them to give them the flavor! Another 'folklore' that was passed along was that black people smoke menthols exclusively.
