I heard that the cost of oil would have to be over $100 USD per barrel to equal the cost of the energy crisis days of the '70's --- allowing for inflationary adjustments of course.
Incidently, I recall the canadian dollar being around $1.09 US back in those days. At least that was the exchange posted on the counter at McD's when I worked there in '74.
