Here we are some say this the last battle
Torn and twisted our lives in a tatter
Moved in this war as though we were cattle
While those directing us sit back home getting fatter

It's lonely here at the front
Pain and suffering all around
Missing home, seeing it again is all I want
But so hard to remember what it looks like with all the hateful sound

God forgive us as being here has lost all reason
God forgive us for detroying your land
As we follow our orders without question
And shoot at another man as scared as I am

Who's right in this war that we wage
Who's side is right in the God's eyes
Are we here just because of unbridled rage
Are we fighting for truth or our leaders lies

God give us strength on this field today
Please we beg help us know who is truly right
Give us a reason in this battle to stay
Let your love truly help to end this fight

It's so lonely on this battlefield
Noone shows love just fear in thier heart
God please help us let your love for us be our shield
God shed a light tell us that with us you did not depart

Well the gunfire draws near
And we are all ready as we can be
God please on us do not turn a deaf ear
Give us all a sign that peace is what you truly want to see

Remember when we were innocent

But then it all seemed to fall apart just as you grasped that last ring
Greed took over and the heart lost its way
And all you could hear was the money sing
God why couldn't the innocence stay

Now on a building ledge you stand waiting to jump
Your soul so infested with wanting new toys
And you know your wife is out on another drunk
Spending her days with a bottle and one of her newest boys

That boss you loved so dearly took all the money
Left you out in the cold
He's down on an Island with some sexy honey
And you realize your spirit you sold

I beg of your dear friend
On all that we once shared
That this is the beginning not the end
For you my friend I have always cared

Find your way to the past
Pick up those pieces of your heart
And in those shatters you'll see what matters is my love for you shall always last
And dear friend remember those innocent days and perhaps you can make a new start

Don't tell me your love is dead
For even in nature the cycle of life in full of rebirth
Don't tell me there's nothing to live for cause everything's already said
Cause life would never be the same without you on my Earth

So give me your hand
Whenever you fall down into the dirt
Together we'll take that stand
And when the end does come you can say you fought and lived through all of life's little hurt

I just love people who use the excuse "I use/do this because I LOVE the feeling/joy/happiness it brings me" and expect you to be ok with that as you watch them destroy their life blindly following. My response is, "I like to put forks in an eletrical socket, just LOVE that feeling, can't ever get enough of it, so will you let me put this copper fork in that electric socket?"
