While technically vanblah is correct, the vagina (AKA the birth canal or the passage leading from the opening of the vulva to the cervix of the uterus), is also used as a generalized term, meaning the entire female reproductive system as seen from the outside. I did watch the 'Vagina Monologues' and the vagina was repeatedly mentioned, not the vulvae. Just my 27 cents.....
