tasers are a great way to control a suspect, and often cause a lot less damage than beating them with a baton- but everyone who uses one should know, and if they have been through even rudimentary training, does know, that if you hit em they will drop.....and if they are holding a baby then that might be a bad move- if they thought that it was a kidnapping attempt, better to chance a fall- but in this case you have totally conflicting stories, and that is troubling- seems like the dad is something of an uncooperative dick, and the officers were overeager to end the situation, and went to the taser a bit prematurely- he was not going to go anywhere, and if he wasn't going to run, then it seems to be a bit much....
