Sally Field is an adorable, feisty, firecracker no bigger than a puff of smoke. Plus she has this great scene in which, while reacting to her husband's claims about her unionizing activities taking up all her time, she utters one of my all-time favorite film lines (in her inimitable southern accent) 'you want ironin'....you got ironin'...you wanna make love...then come around here behind me and lift up my nightie and we'll make love...'
ahhhhhhh, classic

This is one of my all-time faves. It was filmed in this area, and I had the opportunity to meet Ron Leibman. The hotel in the film still exists, and at the time was called The Golden Cherry. My grandfather was an extra in two scenes. He stands behind Sally Field at the funeral, and is also in the union scenes at the end. Another local girl was given the part of Sally's daughter, but her mother pulled her out after she read the script. She thought the language was bad. Just a few tidbits that I recall right now.
