He was a Yankee, but I definitely respect his fundamentally sound brand of baseball. His kind of bunting and commitment to defense is sort of a lost art nowadays unfortunately. He definitely brought a lot of new styles to the broadcast booth and I recognize many other announcers adopting things that he did, like attending to things other than just the game, sort of spicing things up. And who can forget that he did the "play by play" for Meatloaf's "Paradise by the Dashboard Light!"
