So, we saw Live Free or Die Hard a few weeks ago.
In all of my brilliance, I decided to watch all three of the other ones.
Die Hard... pretty damn entertaining, actually. I like it even despite the cheese, knowing that that was partly the intent. I'd go with a 7/10 for entertainment value and shit blowing up... which I love.
Die Hard 2...the jokes were a teeny bit more worn, but the sense of timing and the plot twist were just enough to keep me entertained. I enjoyed that one on its own merit, actually. 7/10 as well.
Die Hard with a Vengance... dude, the series was over. If I EVER have to hear the damn Saints Marching In song again, it will be too soon. the only reason it didn't get turned off were A) Samuel L Jackson, who goes on my sexy people list, and B) I was not quitting until I heard "Yippe-kai-ay Motherfucker" in this one. Ugh. Even Jeremy Irons should be embarrassed. 4/10
Just for the record, Live Free or Die Hard is freaking genius. Apple is going to make a fortune. But it was hilarious and entertaining. I'm kinda glad I saw it first, to be able to appreciate the cheesiness that is the Die Hard series.
Shooter was better. 8/10 by the way. Plus, Marky Mark's got better abs and a waaaay better jawline when portraying angst.
