Anxiety can also indicate that he was hypoxic, or not circulating oxygen completely properly. Even though his heart showed no abnormalities on his EKG's doesn't mean he couldn't have had a partial blockage somewhere, small enough to not get noticed in an EKG.
I'm curious to see if the autopsy will show that he'd had a partial blockage since that day before... OR was in an atrial fibrillation (top two chambers of the heart spasm rather than contract, which does not do much of anything for bloodflow, and is bad) that they didn't detect. The increased heart rate associated with anxiety may have masked the underlying atrial fibrillation (which causes an increased heart rate).
