I am now trying to determine if those are muscles or some kind of strange growth ... I can imagine small children doing the Bart Simpson thing

I don't mean ginormously muscled like that when I say broad shoulder and nice arms just something that is more then skin wrapped around the bones and doesn't jiggle when you poke it.
