I live across the Hudson in Newark and I just call it the city or Manhat'n. I don't think I've ever heard someone pronounce it Man Hat Tan before.
Oh, and why was he drinking espressos constantly then bitching about it. He shoulda just ate the desserts then some coffee from time to time. He was kind of annoyingly whiney.
