$50 in Oregon for 2 years, compared to $5 for regular plates:
However, very few people opt to get the regular plates here anymore--the DMV offers other license plates to raise funds for various causes, such as the Crater Lake plate:
The Cultural Trust plate:
And various plates to support colleges and universities in Oregon, including my favorite school:
All of the plates except the OSU one can be used as custom plates, so if I wanted to get a custom Crater Lake plate I could...but it would be $85 or so every two years.
I thought I was going to have to get new plates since I have to register my car in Oregon again, but my dad was kind enough to find our limited edition Oregon Trail license plates, so I should only have to pay the $5 registration fee, since I don't need new plates. Yay.
