Excellent point... I do all of those things, except counseling. I think I answered three or four different things on the poll the other day, but none of them were completely true answers. My #1 way to de-stress is to talk out my problems with my mom, friends, husband, or even just my cat if there are no humans around.
I figured out as a child that animals never tell my secrets.
But they do look at least slightly sympathetic/interested, especially if you hold a treat near your face.
Since the internet came around, I also tend to vent on a message board and then laugh over the witty responses I receive, which usually makes me feel better, too.
