I just obtained the 3 seasons on DVD from my neighbour, and have been working my way through them (on Season 1, the episode where they decide to elect a vice-president).
Astounding series and I am hooked. I really like the way Olmos does a Horatio Cane, do you think they were tutored by William Shatner? At any rate, he makes the show.
-- Just a note on the history/cosmology of the series: I gather that in this universe, Humanity has long ago left the Earth to build an inter-planetary civilisation. It currently appears to be heavy into Greek/Western deities and astrology for cultural/symbolic support. What is the reference to Kobol? One of the planets that has now become ancient in Human history?
How long ago in this universe did humanity leave Earth, if nobody knows where it is now?
