Well, I remember the day of the July 7th bombings... certainly no one I knew was shaken by it to any extent. People were just talking about because of what we were doing in Iraq this kind of thing was going to expected and was bound to happen more. Of course, the death toll of that attack (while any death toll is tragic) was not especially high.
But most people grew up with IRA bombings being a reality - of course it is disruptive and tragic that innocent people are killed by these criminals (and the IRA and Al Qeida are both a bunch of murderers and gangsters at the heart of it in my opinion - while one group was funded by the Irish community in the US and Southern Ireland and one by Saudi religious maniacs - whatever politics they start out fighting for, they end up simply as killers of women and children)
