seun anikulapo kuti and egypt 80 live in dakar (with manu dibango)

these folk put on an amazing show for free at milennium park chicago last night. my head is still full from it. this is a short clip. but turn it up anyway.

a blues segment:

muddy waters: mannish boy

muddy waters: got my mojo working (live at newport 1960)

big joe turner: feelin happy

big joe turner: if you remember (live at the apollo, 1955)

john lee hooker: tupelo

john lee hooker: i'll never get out of these blues alive

koko taylor with little walter: wang dang doodle

mississippi fred mcdowell: goin down the the river

wow.

more of mississippi "i do not play no rock and roll" fred:

i dont know what could really follow mississipi fred, but here are a few more clips anyway:

buddy guy and junior wells live at montreux, 1974

albert collins: ice man

albert king: i'll play the blues for you

o.v. wright: that's how my love is (a kind of generically tedious video tacked onto a lovely track)
