Okay, so I may have mentioned previously in another post about how my life at sea is subject to a lot of whims and things beyond my control...This is one of them. The loading rig here in Calumet isn't the usual-piece-of-crap-800 tonnnes/hour that we usually get; it's a state of the art 1200 tonnes/hour wonder machine. This means that we are loading at nearly twice the rate I was planning on. Which means that this meetup may or may not happen depending on how things go tonight and tomorrow. The operator thinks that they will be done by midnight; but I think that it will be sooner, maybe around 7 local time. I will try to let everyone know tomorrow what is happening. If you want, email me a cell# at lucifer@constantvoyager.com and I'll call when I'm more certain of things.
Sorry to get everyone's expectations up, and then change plans at the last minute, but that's how my life works in this job, subject to a lot of things beyond my control.
This meetup is ON! The loading rate is slow, they are thinking about midnight for getting done, and the 3rd mate is covering my watch at 4, so I'll be heading downtown. See you there...
