I agree that it's true, but the phrasing of the story makes the HGH sound unprescribed. And given that HGH is one of the most abused performance-enhancing drugs (it's not a steroid), it sounds fishy.
It also looks like the boy had a whole bunch of other problems:

and that Benoit tested negative for steroids a couple of months ago. That doesn't mean that mean that he wasn't using viral therapy or one of the more cutting edge techniques, though.
