Actually... (great story related to the poor use of this opener)
Waaaait-a-second, I must be hallucinating here. Pretty sure I'm not blind.
(looks at link, looks at YouTube video, looks at link again, looks at YouTube)
Um... uh. What the hell?
(looks at original link to video, looks at 60Magnum link, repeats)
Actually... regarding the video links posted and my response:
1A: Fat guy holding the American T/C (
www.TCArms.com) is speaking English with a distinctive redneck accent. I should know, given my state of residence.
1B: The two-handed, one-on-the-chamber way he is holding the American-made T/C pistol is impossible with a revolver. He could have easily blown his fingers off from the side discharge out of the front of the cylinder on a revolver such as the one you posted in your response.
2: The sign the background says AIM EVERY SHOT in English. Range is most likely in America.
3: Where the hell is the Swiss SA .60 revolver you mentioned? I only see a stainless steel T/C flying through the air.
4: What the hell was your response regarding? I'm WAY lost, bro.
5: That guy probably felt like a huge douchebag after that incident.
...
Philosophy rant ensues:
To be 100% honest, I'll plead ignorance to my quick assumptions. I always attribute stupidity to my own country... for good reason... seeing as how American males are the "reckless cowboys" of the planet Earth. My vision of Europeans making only sensible guns is forever cast into the abyss of MoreBiggerLouder! and is now shattered due to exposure to your link. This video of Joe Redneck only proves the American stereotype 110%.
So... all the stereotypes still stand despite how bad we all know stereotyping is for society. Fat American rednecks are still fat American rednecks. They like Bud Light by the case and gas-guzzling pickup trucks and ratty beards.
Overkill handguns are still overkill handguns. I mean... let's get serious here: The behemoth Swiss revolver you linked? They offer a shoulder stock and bipod for it because it weighs almost 14 pounds empty. That's around how much a fully loaded scoped M14 weighs.
Not debatable: Failure to maintain control of ANY weapon during operation is the most unsafe act you can take part in... perhaps even worse than utilizing it for a dishonorable reason. Proficiency is the key to safety. A dull knife is more dangerous than a sharp one, etc, et al. (GI Joe-style PSA here)
Who needs a sixty caliber hand cannon?
Oh, here it comes:
S&W, in all their engineering genius and predictable goofiness, will most likely figure out a way to fit 12.7x99mm into a X-frame in 2008... just to top this piece.
Ruger will answer by using the 20mm HE rounds from the M61A and create a device called the SuperUltraMega NeonHawk.
Taurus will developed their own cartridge, the 21mm, just because it is a tad bigger... and chamber it in a Titanium alloy revolver called the Raging Elephant.
T/C will respond with a 30mm pistol that chambers the same depleted uranium round as the GAU cannon mounted on the A-10. They'll call it the GAWDBAWB!
...
Swiss cartridge. American gun. Video of American gun flying. Gotcha.
I love Colt Pythons.
