Best Buy is supposed to be holding some for Sunday, June 24.
There is no credibility to the idea of an artificial shortage. It is the fastest selling home console ever. They've sold 8 million in 8 months worldwide, almost completely eliminating the year head start that 360 had on it (10M sold).
While they have increased production slightly, its not useful to over-increase production just to meet short term demand. Demand will become manageable very soon, leaving them with an unwanted surplus in production capacity.
