The Painted Veil - 7/10
I put off watching this for almost a week because I expected it to be rather slow and dull, but it was actually quite intriguing. It was worth seeing once, but I doubt I will feel inspired to watch it again... although it does have some rather beautiful scenery and music.
Night at the Museum - 4/10
I realize this is a children's movie, but that doesn't excuse it from being rather lame in the storytelling. There are plenty of children's movies that are clever enough to entertain both children and adults, but this is not one of them. The entire story seemed rushed and I suspect that they spent a LOT of time in the editing room cutting out a lot of scenes because none of the characters are very well developed and it honestly just seemed awkward.
