seriously, just make sure you're creating a caloric deficit. even if you're not eating super healthy foods, just make sure you're body is using up more calories than your eating up. If you're the average 2,000 calories a day, try going to to 1,500 or even 1,000.
It's imperative that you combine your diet with exercise though, otherwise your body will start digesting your muscle mass for energy instead of your fat.
