I watched The Messengers last night on DVD. I love the Pang Brothers, The Eye1&2 are both great and completely different from each other. I suggest watching the originals before the Jessica alba remake comes out in October.
I had my reservations about watching the movie, I remember the Grudge 1&2 remakes and the Ring2.. American films with the original Asian directors didn't go so well. I enjoyed the movie though. It had a few creepy parts and it didn't take long for some really creepy stuff started to happen. The setting was bland, cellphones of course don't work, there's not another house for 116.8 miles, there's a crazy daughter than no one believes, a crazy dude you don't know if you should trust or not.. ya know all that stuff... I liked it though. Maybe I liked it because I wasn't expecting much, but honestly I don't care why I liked it, I just did
