The Midnight Ballads of Good and Evil

Distantly drifting softly on misty night air.
Beautiful sounds drift in from out there.
A song, a speech, a voice, the unknown.
Hear satisfied sighs and longing moans.
Feel of beautiful tears and vile laughter.
The melody promises truth ever after.
Wanting ears seek an unknown desire.
The heart burns as though it's on fire.
Imagined, unseen, yet sure to be great.
Like the purpose of fulfilling your fate.
Yet still float free on the night's breeze.
Sorrowful beauties come to appease.
Promising pleasure, a heart that's still.
In the midnight ballads of good and evil.
