Finding an apartment out-of-state
So, this situation is beginning to annoy me.
I am currently living in Minnesota and trying to find an affordable apartment in Seattle. I have saved up for a bit for the move and can pay 6-9 months rent purely from savings, so putting down first+last months rent + deposit + app fee is not an issue. The issue, it seems, is a) getting that deposit to the building manager quickly, and b) getting them to return my calls / emails.
Is it unreasonable for me to expect to be able to secure an apartment from out-of-state? I really want to avoid having to stay in a hotel for $60-80/night for two weeks while I find an apartment and wait for it to become available.
